Sascha Zandevakili, DDS

Dr. Zandevakili is a board eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in dental implantology, complex dentoalveolar surgery including dental extractions and bone grafting, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, head and neck pathology, and TMJ surgery.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California San Diego (UCSD), Dr. Zandevakili attended dental school at University of the Pacific (UOP) Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Zandevakili graduated dental school with the highest honors, including membership to the prestigious Tau Kappa Omega and Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor societies.

Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Zandevakili completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine, which is one of the leading research universities and a top-ranking hospital in the United States. Throughout his training, Dr. Zandevakili received extensive experience in the treatment and management of complex craniomaxillofacial trauma while working at Atlanta’s Level I trauma center, Grady Memorial Hospital.

He is an active member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS), American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS), and Academy of Osseointegration (AO). Dr. Zandevakili is an active board certification candidate with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS).

Dr. Zandevakili is a proud San Diego native and is thrilled to be returning to his hometown to practice. During his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, travelling, and cooking. His passion for helping patients achieve a bright, healthy smile is evident in his gentle, meticulous approach to dental surgery. Dr. Zandevakili works with each patient and their restorative dentist to create an individualized treatment plan using the latest technologies in the most minimally invasive manner possible.
